MAXWELL CHASE TECHNOLOGIES LAUNCHES

NEW MCT 25 TOMATO & ONION SLICER

Atlanta, Georgia, May 1, 2012 – Maxwell Chase Technologies today announced the next generation of their patented MCT 25 Automated Tomato & Onion Slicer, which has been designed and engineered to produce precision cut tomato and onion slices to a standard thickness.

Building on its success in supplying slicers for the tomato market, the MCT 25 Slicer has been modified and upgraded to slice onions, while retaining the ability to slice tomatoes. The machine is easy to load and is fully integrated with a Pick & Place, which allows more than one operator to load increasing productivity. The MCT 25 removes and collects the unwanted end pieces while placing the premium slices neatly in the tray.

“The MCT 25 was upgraded to slice onions in response to requests from our customers, who love the reduction in labor costs and increase in yield that they get from our machines when slicing tomatoes” said Tom Gautreaux, National Sales Director, Maxwell Chase Technologies.

The MCT 25 Automated Slicer slices six tomatoes or onions per cycle, yielding seven premium slices per tomato or onion – which is 42 slices per cycle. When running at a minimum speed of over 10 cycles per minute the yield of the MCT 25 slicer is over 1,500 lbs. per hour.

The MCT 25 Automated Slicer integrates with Maxwell Chase Technologies “Fresh-R-Pax” super absorbent trays, resulting in a dramatic improvement in shelf life of up to 14 days for sliced tomatoes.

A video of the MCT 25 is available at http://www.maxwellchase.com/processing-equipment/

News Release

MAXWELL CHASE TECHNOLOGIES LAUNCHES

NEW MCT 50 AUTOMATED 3-ROW TOMATO SLICER

Atlanta, Georgia, April 17, 2012 – Maxwell Chase Technologies today announced the release of their new patented MCT 50 Automated Tomato Slicer, which has been specifically designed and engineered to produce precision cut tomato slices into a ½ steam tray size.

The machine is easy to load and is fully integrated with a Pick & Place, which allows more than one operator to load increasing productivity. The MCT 50 removes and collects the unwanted end pieces while placing the premium tomato slices neatly in the tray in 3 rows. The Tomato Slicer has built in safety features such as a safety hood to protect the operator when the machine is in operation.

Some of the key advantages of the machine are the reduction in labor cost and increase in yield of the finished product to over 70%. “Ever since we introduced the single row MCT 25 slicer, our customers have asked for a 3 row model that will fill a ½ steam tray at the same speed and efficiency. The MCT 50 was developed in response to this market need” said Tom Gautreaux, National Sales Director, Maxwell Chase Technologies.

The MCT 50 Automated Slicer slices seven tomatoes per cycle, yielding six premium slices per tomato – or 42 slices per cycle, fitting 126 slices into a ½ steam tray. It can be operated at over 12 cycles per minute giving an average yield of over 1,300 lbs. per hour.

The MCT 50 Automated Slicer integrates with Maxwell Chase Technologies “Fresh-R-Pax” super absorbent trays, resulting in a dramatic improvement in shelf life of up to 14 days for sliced tomatoes.

A video of the MCT 50 is available at http://www.maxwellchase.com/processing-equipment/
